The slowness of climate politics is so frustrating.
Frustration tells us that something important to us is not happening as we would like it.
Frustration can either give energy to make an extra effort or it can disperse our energies.
Question: When can we exercise patience, and when is it important to articulate frustration?
Action
Do what you can move forward
When progress feels slow, focus on something you can influence. Bring an idea to your school, help with a local project, email a representative, join a group, or invite friends to work on one achievable goal together.
Frustration arises when we believe change is possible but blocked. Climate solutions exist, yet political and systemic barriers can slow progress. The gap between what could happen and what does happen creates tension.
Millions of people share climate frustration. Activists, educators, students, scientists, and everyday people are finding ways to channel it into collective action. Hearing their stories can remind you that progress is rarely a solo effort.
